07-01-2007 "Remember the Sabbath day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God. You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for ADONAI your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work -not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your livestock, and not the for eigner staying with you inside the gates to your property. For in six days, ADONAI made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. This is why ADONAI blessed the day, Shabbat, and separated it for Himself." (Exodus 20:8-11)
Shabbat is the Hebrew word for Sabbath. It is primarily a day of rest and spiritual enrichment. We keep the Sabbath because:
~ God rested on the seventh day (Genesis 2:2-3).
~God made it a commandment for His followers (Exodus 20:8-10; Deuteronomy 5:12-14).
~Jesus kept the Sabbath (Mark 1:21; 3:1-2; 6:2; Luke 4:16; 13:10).
~God pronounced a special blessing on those who keep His Sabbath (Isaiah 56:6-7).
~Keeping the Sabbath is a sign, a mark of belonging, between God and His people (Exodus 31:13, 17; Leviticus 19:3; Ezekiel 9:4; 20:12; Revelation 7:3).
~The early believers followed the Sabbath commands even after Jesus' death (Mark 16:1).
If you would like to join us for Erev Shabbat (Sabbath Evening) on Friday nights, please email me directly for meeting places and times. If you are interested in learning more about your Hebraic Roots, this is the place to be!!! The evening usually consists of the Shabbat service (what is a Shabbat service?), a meal, Bible study and relaxing ("Shabbating/resting") with one another.

06-01-2009 Hi everyone, it's Aaralyn! I wanted to write you a personal message and let you all know that my husband, William, and I are currently expecting our first child! Jonathan Lyric Wilson is due on October 4, 2009 (right in the middle of Sukkot!)!!! After a three-year long journey of coping with 4 losses, this little guy is truly a miracle to say the least. We praise G-d for choosing to bless us with this wonderful gift of life and we are excited to see everything he has in store for litte Jonathan. Due to the complications with my previous pregnancies, and doctors orders for rest, I am not currently performing any events or concerts. I will not be performing any events until at least the latter part of 2010. However, I am still continuing to make music unto Adonai through my local congregation and I'm also taking this time to do some studio work to record some new music for upcoming albums!!! Please keep the Wilson family in your prayers as we start a new chapter in our lives! Thank you all so much for your support and prayers...it truly means SO much!
